Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

At Cuemby, trust is the product. TechScore handles sensitive information about companies and their technology, and we treat it accordingly. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have. It's a clear summary pending final legal review — if anything is unclear, just ask.

1. Scope and who we are

This policy applies to the Cuemby TechScore platform, websites, and related services (the "Service"). The data controller is Cuemby, Inc. ("Cuemby," "we," "us"). Where a partner fund or program uses TechScore to assess your company, that partner is an independent controller of the assessment data they collect, and their own privacy terms may also apply.

2. Information we collect

Account data (name, email, organization, role); the company and assessment information you provide; documents and evidence you upload; communications with us; and technical data needed to run the Service (device, browser, IP, log and usage data). We collect only what we need to deliver and improve the Service.

3. How we use your information

To create and deliver your assessment and report; to operate, secure, and improve the Service; to provide support and communicate about your account; to detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use your assessment content to train third-party AI models.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the bases of: performance of a contract (delivering the Service you requested); legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, in a way that doesn't override your rights); consent (where we ask for it, e.g. certain communications); and legal obligation.

5. How we share information

Assessment data is shared with the partner running your assessment and with Cuemby personnel who support the platform. We may share data with service providers under contract, to comply with law or valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, and in connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice). We never sell your personal data.

6. Service providers and subprocessors

We rely on vetted providers for hosting, storage, email, analytics, and AI-assisted document processing. They may process data only on our instructions and under confidentiality and data-protection obligations. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.

7. International data transfers

We may process and store data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect personal data transferred across borders.

8. Data retention

We keep personal and assessment data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then for the period required to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can request deletion sooner, subject to those obligations.

9. How we protect your data

We use encryption in transit, signed sessions, optional two-factor authentication, least-privilege access controls, and strict workspace isolation between companies and partners. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry best practices and review our controls regularly.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Email hello@cuemby.com to make a request; we'll respond within the timeframes the law requires.

11. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (like your language), and understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the Service works.

12. Children's privacy

TechScore is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

13. Changes and how to contact us

We may update this policy as the Service evolves; we'll post the new version here and update the date above, and we'll flag material changes. Questions, concerns, or requests about privacy? Email hello@cuemby.com and we'll point you to the right person.
